Huanggang Port provides a 24-hour crossing between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Travellers can use district cross-border coaches or connect with the Huang Bus shuttle at San Tin, depending on their starting point.

Transport arrangements are changing as the rebuilt port prepares to open. A government update on 4 October 2026 described its public opening as forthcoming. The new B10–B15 and NB73 routes below are therefore announced arrangements, rather than services confirmed to be carrying the public.

1. Ordinary buses connecting with the Huang Bus

Seven KMB and Long Win routes appear in the official Huang Bus transfer scheme. Transfers take place at San Tin Public Transport Interchange, using the specified route direction.

Route Listed connection
76 Sheung Shui / Yau Pok Road Light Public Housing
76K Sheung Shui, Ching Ho / Long Ping Estate
276B Sheung Shui, Choi Yuen / Tin Fu
B1 Selected direction for a transfer at San Tin
N73 Overnight connection, including Sha Tin Town Centre on the return journey
A43P Airport / Fanling, Luen Wo Hui
NA43 Overnight airport / Fanling, Luen Wo Hui connection

These buses provide Hong Kong-side connections. They do not themselves take passengers across the boundary to Huanggang.

The Huang Bus shuttle is listed as running around the clock, with a single reference fare of HK$10. Services run approximately every 5–15 minutes from 06:30 to midnight, and every 10–15 minutes from midnight to 06:30.

Eligible passengers can receive up to HK$10 off the second journey when using the same Octopus card or electronic payment method. The transfer must take place within 60 minutes from KMB or Long Win to the shuttle, or 120 minutes in the reverse direction. Check the permitted direction and current conditions before relying on the discount.

2. Cross-border coaches from Hong Kong districts

District coaches offer another way to reach Huanggang. The listed Hong Kong boarding points and ordinary single fares are:

Route Hong Kong boarding point Day / night fare
Mong Kok Arran Street, outside Golden Plaza HK$45 / HK$50
Yau Tsim Austin Road Cross-Border Coach Terminus HK$50 / HK$55
Kwun Tong Lam Tin Station Public Transport Interchange; apm Millennium City 5 overnight HK$55 / HK$60
Wan Chai Exhibition Centre Station Public Transport Interchange HK$57 / HK$63
Tsuen Wan Discovery Park; Nan Fung Centre overnight HK$45 / HK$48

Lam Tin departures are listed from 06:30 to 23:00. For overnight Kwun Tong departures, check the apm boarding point. Tsuen Wan also changes its departure point overnight.

Day fares apply from 06:01 to 23:30 on Mong Kok, 06:00 to 23:29 on Yau Tsim and Kwun Tong, and 06:01 to 23:29 on Wan Chai. The Tsuen Wan page lists HK$45 from 06:00 to 23:59 and HK$48 from midnight to 05:40. Confirm any departure outside these published fare periods with the operator.

The fares above exclude temporary promotions. Some discounts still displayed on the Yau Tsim and Kwun Tong pages were limited to June 2026 and should not be assumed to remain available.

3. Returning from Huanggang: published coach frequencies

The following times refer to departures from Huanggang, rather than Hong Kong departures.

4. Announced buses and minibuses for the rebuilt port

5. Enquiries before travelling

Use the operators' enquiry services during office hours where applicable. Confirm the travel direction, boarding point, service date, timetable and fare. Bring valid travel documents and allow time for clearance and onward connections.

A 24-hour crossing does not mean that every route or boarding point operates throughout the night. Existing shuttle arrangements and the announced new-port network should be checked separately as the transition approaches.
